Meet the Director - John Tindle
John Tindle is the Managing Director of NE1 Compliance & Audit Ltd and a senior consultant specialising in transport compliance, waste management, environmental services and operational transformation. With over 30 years’ leadership experience across both private sector and local government, he has delivered major financial turnarounds, service redesigns, governance frameworks and performance improvements in complex, multisite operations.
His experience spans UK‑based and pan‑European organisations, including privately owned businesses and PLCs. John has led large operational teams, managed budgets up to £25m, and delivered measurable results such as significant cost reductions, improved service reliability and strengthened compliance cultures. His expertise covers both strategic and operational management, O‑Licence and ADR compliance, statutory waste duties, environmental permitting, fleet management, commercial tendering and contract management, KPI development and risk assurance.
John has supported organisations through acquisitions, transformation programmes and national waste reforms. He has conducted compliance audits, service reviews and developed strategic plans for waste services, road and multi‑modal transport operations, fleet management and environmental services. He brings a proven track record of delivering safe, efficient and compliant operations aligned to regulatory and organisational requirements.
